fonts-gujr-extra software package provides Free fonts for Gujarati script, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-gujr-extra
fonts-gujr-extra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-gujr-extra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-gujr-extra *
You will get with fonts-gujr-extra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
